AL WASL CENTER

Supply and Installation of 4CX35 Sq. mm Cable with 1CX16 Sq. mm yellow green Cable

This is AL WASL CENTER located on Sheikh Zayed road opposite business bay supply and installation of 4CX35sqmm cable with 1CX16sqmm yellow green cable from main SMDB to KWH meter and KWH meter to new al rostamani travel split one shop to two shop DB as per DEWA standard.

DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) standards, the yellow-green cable is used as the earth/grounding wire in electrical installations to ensure safety. Here’s an explanation of the wiring process from the Main SMDB (Sub Main Distribution Board) to the KWH meter and from the KWH meter to the new distribution boards (DBs), in the case of splitting a single shop into two:

  1. Main SMDB to KWH Meter:
    • A yellow-green grounding cable is run from the Main SMDB to the KWH meter to provide a continuous earthing system.
    • This grounding ensures that in case of a fault or electrical leak, the current safely dissipates into the ground, protecting equipment and personnel.
    • The size of the grounding cable is determined by DEWA’s guidelines, which take into account the load and installation environment.
  2. KWH Meter to Two Shop DBs (after split):
    • The yellow-green earthing cable is connected from the KWH meter to each of the new distribution boards (DBs) in both shops.
    • Each shop DB is grounded individually, ensuring that both shops have proper electrical protection.
    • The earthing cable forms part of the protective measures to maintain the safety of the newly separated shops by connecting their electrical systems to a common ground.

Armored cable laying above the gypsum ceiling Height of 8 meters work completion successfully within the time limit and without any delay.

Armored cable laying involves installing electrical cables protected by a metallic armor layer, typically made of steel or aluminum, to safeguard the internal conductors from mechanical damage, moisture, and other environmental hazards. Armored cables are commonly used in both indoor and outdoor installations, including underground, industrial, and hazardous environments.

The laying process includes trenching or conduit placement for underground installations, carefully positioning the cable to avoid sharp bends or kinks, and securing it with appropriate fittings. The armor not only offers physical protection but also provides an additional layer of grounding, enhancing electrical safety and longevity. Proper handling during the laying process ensures long-term performance and reliability.
